Mind is like a garden

and every thought is a seed.

Whatever you obsessively think about, you're planting that thought in your mind and helping it grow. The choice is yours, will you cultivate a beautiful garden, or allow it to become overrun with dry grass, weeds, or even a swamp?

It all begins with planting one beautiful thought, nurturing it, and letting it multiply.

You must enter your mind—your "garden"—and uproot every thought that is useless or harmful to you.

Remove them completely, down to the roots.

Then, plant new, healthy seeds of thought in their place. But you must remain attentive and close to your garden. External events, the opinions and words of others, can sweep into you like the wind, you must not allow them to scatter seeds across your inner garden.
Tending to it is just as necessary as with any real garden.
